The Truth

I finally found out how old he is, a whopping 30 years old, damnit. Now I am even more confused than ever, because I really really like him and find we click really well, but… well 10 years difference is quite a lot.
I was talking it over with a friend and he was saying that it doesn’t have to mean anything, that “older” and younger people can still work well. I guess it might just be the number 30, 28 or 29 would still be ok.

Anyway, we had a fabulous evening yesterday, we went to a bar again and just talked and talked till like 2:30 about everything in the world. His job is so damn facinating, he’s been around the world like I have and we can just talk baout the different cultures and all that jazz.
I’ve just decided to see how it plays out, maybe we’ll both notice it’s not right, and then I’ll at least have a new friend, rather than running away now simply because of age.
I wish I could get a better opinion on this, some people say yay; some nay; but none of them have met him and know what he is like. He doesn’t look or act like a 30 year old, except that he actually has a plan in life and responsibilities; something my ex was desperatly missing.
Damnit, life is so fucking confusing.

Age IS just a number, it’s whatever you are comfortable with love. If you think that you are going to be fine with it, then be fine with it. There are people out there that have much larger age gaps than that. Just play it by ear, take it day by day. Everything will sort itself out, honestly. Having fun adn having a good friend (if that’s all you end up getting out of it) are just as great, for sure. Good luck! And have fun!
