Finally!
Gah, I finally got this damn thing set up. Php and whatnot are not my strong point. I can’t get the damn thing to align properly, but I’m going to ignore it and up it aligns it’s damn self all on it’s own. Poop.
I had a long, but fun night yesterday. I had met a guy two weeks back in a town about 20 minutes from here, Breda; where my best friend is studying. We had been eating French Fries and his friends popped up and stood around us talking to us. He came up and was the DD of the evening, so he had no drinks and really just wanted to go home, poor thing.
Anyway, my friend and his friends were arguing about who’s french fries were better, or something to that effect, and i overheard him saying he is driving to my city, Tilburg; tonight.
Now see, this is where I have to note that I am way to careless when I’m drunk and especially with men, am very trusting and world-of-bunnies-and-flowers happy.
Long story short, he took me along in the car with 3 other military guys, and I had a blast and got home in one piece.
Now we met yesterday for a beer or two (or ten) and had a really good time, he was nice and the conversation was a little more interesting than the general “ey, whats up, blah blah, alcohol, blah blah” you have with the students around here. However, he wouldn’t tell me how old he was. I’ve deducted; with my super mind powers; that he must be aroud 27 or 28, as he is done with university and has been in the military for at least 2 years, I think.
I’m just wondering why the hell he won’t just tell me straight up?! I mean ok sure, 7 years difference in age to me is kind of a lot, but it’s not like I would get up and out of there when he tells me.
Well, he is taking me out next Wednesday latest, when I get to go on Base and look at all the flight practices they are doing there. I’m really excited, as I really enjoy looking at military aircraft, especially after I’ve been involved with civilian all my life, and I can’t wait for him to show me around.
I guess I’m just not sure what I’m getting myself into, maybe because my life here was always centered around Lukas and now I’m starting something new. Then again, he is dating my ex-best friend now, so what the hell, no need to dwell on that!

Heheh. Mareike, it won’t kill you to go out and just have fun with this guy, I would just take it day by day and not get too wigged about age, just yet. Although it is odd he wouldn’t just say, “Look, I’m 28?” Or something. Just to let you know. But, go have fun and look at those F16’s.
You need to come to Canada, I’d give you a full tour of the base I’m posted to, CFB Gagetown. My dad even works on the Leo’s (Tanks) we could go for rides in the APC’s! That was fun too!
LoL, have fun with this guy, don’t get too serious, and wait him out and see if he comes clean with the age thing.

I have a question for you.. how come you always write in English. Not that I don’t enjoy it and am extremely appreciative; my German isn’t so hot, but can your friends at home read it? God your English is good though… better ‘n mine.
Alex and I had this conversation last night about older guys dating younger girls. Ours revolved around guys in their mid-twenties dating teenagers under eighteen, but still kinda the same thing. I’ve never been a girl to date out of my age range; I just get freaked out by older men because in general they really only want one thing. Or at least in my understanding they do.
Make him tell you. Otherwise, he’s a sketch. Go out with him if it’s fun, but don’t get attached and don’t let him take advantage. Or do if that’s what you’re up for… I wouldn’t get into any kind of relationship until he’s done being sketchy though. Make him let you fly in a plane first though, ha ha.

I write in English, because it’s easier on everyone. My german friends all know English well enough to read this and my english friends, well.. don’t speak German.
See, I wouldn’t date him if he seemed so completely out of my range age-wise, but things really did click yesterday, so I’m not complaining. I do want to know though, better sooner than later; he’s just making it worse by making a damn mystery out of of it.
Tash, I would -love- to play with you on base, it sounds so fun! Maybe I can convince the guy to fly me there in one of the F-16’s, haha. Yeah ok, now I’m just dreaming
